During each of the 8 weeks of this Jazz Workshop Class, we'll dig into one of the great Jazz Standards found in THE REAL BOOK. We'll look at melody interpretation, improvisation, accompaniment, reharmonization, and much more for each song covered. All instruments welcome!

Sign up for a package of eight, 80-minute class admissions for $96. Then, come when you can. It's OK to miss a couple classes. Buy more when you've used your eight tickets.

Pricing: Jazz Workshop Card: $96 for 8 Classes: attend the Jazz Workshop class whenever you can on Thursday nights. We'll keep a card on file under your name to keep track of number of classes attended. When you are close to the end of your card, we'll let you know that it's time to renew.

**Special Discount Pricing!! We are now enrolling students for the Fazio's Rock Academy Summer Camp!! The two sessions of the summer camp will be: July 12-16 and July 19-23. I am currently offering a special 'Early Enrollment Discount' good until March 31, 2010......I'll reduce tuition to $339 (normally $369) for one week of camp. If a student wants to attend both weeks, the tuition for week 2 will be reduced to $319 (normally $339)! Again, this offer expires March 31, 2010. EACH STUDENT WILL HAVE A ONE ON ONE EVALUATION WITH A FAZIO'S INSTRUCTOR PRIOR TO THE BEGINNING OF CAMP. FOLLOWING EVALUATIONS, STUDENTS WILL BE PLACED INTO BANDS ACCORDING TO SKILL LEVEL & STYLE PREFERENCE. ALL STUDENT BANDS WILL FIT INTO ONE OF FOUR SKILL LEVELS: BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCED, AND ALL STAR. SPECIFIC CRITERIA IS ESTABLISHED FOR EACH INSTRUMENT (GUITAR, BASS, VOICE, DRUMS, AND KEYBOARDS). STUDENTS WILL HAVE THE CHANCE TO 'GRADUATE' TO THE NEXT LEVEL AND BE PLACED IN A BAND WITH PLAYERS OF THE SAME SKILL LEVEL UPON EACH EVALUATION. FAZIO'S ROCK ACADEMY FEATURES AN ALL NEW SONG LIST OF 100 CLASSIC AND MODERN ROCK SONGS. EACH SONG WILL BE GRADED BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCED, OR ALL STAR TO COINCIDE WITH THE SKILL LEVEL OF EACH STUDENT BAND. EACH BAND WILL BE ASSIGNED A PROFESSIONAL FAZIO'S INSTRUCTOR. THIS INSTRUCTOR WILL SERVE AS THE BAND'S COACH FOR THE ENTIRETY OF THE SUMMER CAMP SESSION. THE SESSION WILL CONCLUDE WITH A ROCK CONCERT PERFORMED BY STUDENT BANDS AT THE DOXA ARTS CENTER....A REAL, PROFESSIONAL VENUE WITH SOUND AND LIGHTING LIKE THE PROS USE!

SUMMER CAMP SESSIONS INCLUDE: 'QUIET' BAND REHEARSAL STATIONS, SONGWRITING CLASSES, ROCK MUSIC THEORY CLASSES, PLENTY OF STAGE TIME FOR EACH BAND, AND SPECIAL GUEST APPEARANCES BY LOCAL PROFESSIONAL ROCK ARTISTS!

Six week course created especially for young beginners. A great way to get started playing guitar. We'll make it easy and fun while making sure the kids learn correct technique so there'll be no limit how far they can progress. Materials: Your own instrument (rentals available) and (optional) a tuner. A text book (title TBD) will be required ($8-$12).

If you're an adult (16+) and have always wanted to try your hand at guitar, this is the class for you. No previous music making experience needed. We'll assume everyone is starting from scratch and so we'll go as slowly as necessary. We promise to keep things light and fun, while you are learning all about your guitar and how to form and strum easy chords. We'll provide simple song sheets and other materials we've created especially for GUITAR 101 which is only offered here at Fazio's. Most importantly we'll make sure you have a great time.

If you have always wanted to try your hand at Ukulele, this is the class for you. No previous music making experience needed. We'll assume everyone is starting from scratch and so we'll go as slowly as necessary. We promise to keep things light and fun, while you are learning all about your Uke and how to form and play basic chords and melody. We'll provide simple song sheets and other materials we've created especially for UKE 101 which is only offered here at Fazio's. Most importantly we'll make sure you have a great time.

If you have always wanted to try your hand at Mandolin, this is the class for you. No previous music making experience needed. We'll assume everyone is starting from scratch and so we'll go as slowly as necessary. We promise to keep things light and fun, while you are learning all about your mando and how to form and play basic chords and melody. We'll provide simple song sheets and other materials we've created especially for Mandolin 101 which is only offered here at Fazio's. Most importantly we'll make sure you have a great time.

It's a Jam - It's a Class...It's BOTH!

Everyone (Beginning through advanced) Welcome.
Bring your favorite folk, bluegrass or country tunes to share with the group. We'll work on them together until they sound great. All folk instruments, (and electric basses) and singers welcome.

Beginning players like JamClass because...

2. We focus on tunes with easy chords, so almost anyone can play them.

12. New to soloing? Troy will help you transition from playing mostly rhythm to taking lead breaks.
13. Perfect place to try out new tunes, including your own originals. Lots of our players get their start songwriting in our Monday JamClass.
